About me

 

Although I was very involved with music making as a child I wasn't able to pursue it as a career after school. Now in my fifties I've come back to my first love; composition. In 2022 I gained a Masters with Distinction in Composition at the Leeds Conservatoire taught by Jacob Thompson-Bell and Tom Harold. I've  made the most of this experience, through writing my own music and collaborating with other musicians on arrangements and performances.

Based in Leeds, I love Yorkshire and feel creatively and personally rooted here.

as well as writing for professionals I greatly enjoy non-professional music making and have written for local orchestras. I also play cello in several Yorkshire ensembles.
